What is Invisalign?
Invisalign, designed by Align Technology, is a leading brand of clear aligners, often preferred by celebrities and influencers for teeth straightening. In addition to being transparent and comfortable, Invisalign is discreet during wear and tailored to individual treatment plans by dentists, ensuring a confident smile and comfortable correction journey.

Invisalign Treatment utilizes advanced digital technology, integrating big data with the treating dentists' professional diagnosis and treatment plans, to simulate the movement of patients' teeth at each stage. Invisalign uses SmartTrack, the (patented) material for its aligners; SmartStage, the proprietary simulation model, which reads the personalized treatment plan and makes prediction on teeth position at each stage; and SmartForce, Invisalign's system aiding tooth movements; to gently and effectively move teeth to their ideal positions.

SmartTrack: Developed by Invisalign, SmartTrack is a flexible material that is durable, resistant to damage, and has excellent tooth coverage. Patients find it more comfortable, easier to wear and remove, and facilitating smoother tooth movement.
SmartStage: SmartStage is a computational algorithm that serves to optimize the ideal tooth movement path and sequence and to generate the shape of each stage's aligners in the Invisalign treatment process. Each set of aligners can move teeth by a maximum of approximately 0.25mm, allowing for gentle and comfortable tooth movement.
SmartForce: SmartForce includes attachments (little tooth-coloured bumps) and special designs on the aligners. During the Invisalign treatment process, attachments matching the color of teeth may be bonded to teeth, based on precise computer calculations and/or the treating dentist's clinical experience. These attachments act like handles for exerting gentle and continuous force to achieve tooth movement. Additionally, special designs, such as indentations on the aligners, may be included to enhance specific tooth movements. The seemingly simple clear aligners hold many secrets from years of research and development!

Invisalign Process:
In recent years, Invisalign has been a hot topic online, stirring up discussions on various forums. These lightweight, transparent aligners have quietly transformed many celebrities and internet influencers, enhancing their smiles without drawing attention. Apart from being nearly invisible during treatment, what's even more impressive is Invisalign's use of advanced big data analysis technology. Its correction process is not only more comfortable and easier to maintain cleanliness compared to traditional methods. But how exactly does the Invisalign process work?

1. Initial Consultation
Before the initial consultation, full-mouth X-rays and lateral cephalometric X-rays will be taken. These X-rays help our doctors get a basic idea of your dental health. During the appointment, you can talk about any issues you want to fix, like crowded teeth or gaps.
Based on this, our doctors will suggest a suitable Invisalign treatment plan, and tell you about the costs and how long it may take. They'll also check if you're interested in starting Invisalign treatment.

2. Data Collection and Treatment Planning
Once the treatment is confirmed to begin, our doctors will check for any dental issues like cavities or gum problems. After that, they start collecting data from inside and outside your mouth to plan your treatment.

(If there are other dental issues, the dentist will evaluate if other treatments are required before orthodontic treatment)

-
Intraoral photos of your teeth will be taken
-
Digital impressions of your teeth will be taken to create a 3D model of your teeth
-
Extraoral photos of your facial profiles will be taken

After gathering all these data and creating a 3D model of your teeth, our doctors send the information to the Invisalign company. Using the data, a suitable Invisalign treatment plan will be created, along with a simulation of tooth movement and final result. The doctor can show you simulation finalizing the treatment plan, allowing you to see the expected results before starting treatment. If you want to adjust anything, you can discuss it with the doctor at this stage. Unlike traditional braces where you have to wait until the end to see the results, with Invisalign, you can make changes from the get-go, avoiding regrets later on!

3. Custom Aligners Fabrication:
Once the treatment plan is confirmed by the doctor, the Invisalign company creates custom aligners based on the digital data provided by the doctor and delivers them to the clinic.

4. The First Aligners
Once the aligners arrive, you can start wearing them. If needed, the doctor may attach tooth-colored attachments to your teeth. You will receive 2-4 sets of aligners each time and must wear them for 20-22 hours a day, regularly replacing them with new ones.

5. Regular Follow-Ups
Every 6-8 weeks onward you will return to the clinic for follow-ups, allowing the doctor to monitor your progress and replace your aligners with a new set as needed.

6. Treatment Completion
Once you have worn the final set of aligners as directed, your treatment is complete! Afterward, you will need to wear retainers daily to maintain your corrected teeth alignment.

7. Post-Treatment Follow-up
Regular follow-up appointments are essential even after treatment completion.
